Tommy Andrews, Shavertown, PA obtained his judges license in 1945. He was a jovial character, secretary of the Standard Chinchilla Club, ARBA board member, and Chair of the Commercial Committee. As a high school art instructor, he created the “crying towel” a comical reaction to all of the exhibitor comments he heard as a judge.
The original “Crying Towel” was donated to the ARBA Library and Museum by Mabel Tobias in 2005.
